Greater Goods is for sale! September 30 2018

Have you ever wanted to own your own retail shop? Now’s your chance!

We opened Greater Goods in 2013 with two goals: to give Eat Street its own independent card and gift shop, and to give back a portion of our proceeds to different community organizations each year. After five successful years, we’ve decided it’s time to pass the torch so we can spend more time with our new baby. Sales have grown steadily since we opened, and Eat Street just keeps getting better.

We’re accepting offers now through the end of October, and the ownership transition would happen at the end of the year. To make an offer, request a showing, or for more details about the opportunity, email Lauren and Joel Gryniewski at info@shopgreatergoods.com. Serious inquiries only, please.

Location, location, location.

Located in the heart of Minneapolis’s popular Eat Street neighborhood, next to the Copper Hen restaurant. Lots of foot traffic.

A growing business.

Sales have more than tripled since our first full year in business.

A beautiful space.

Approximately 2,000 sq. ft. (1,000 sq. ft. main floor, 1,000 sq. ft. downstairs.) Gorgeous tin ceiling. Large windows.

Impressive amenities.

Full kitchenette, dishwasher, private bathroom, private basement office, two parking spots, natural light, air conditioning, great landlord.

Flexible configuration.

Our custom-built modular shelving and fixtures can be moved to create a bigger store space in the front, or a bigger office/studio space in the back.

Turnkey transition.

Shopify point-of-sale system, computers, iPad, shelving units (in-store and storage), desks, and office chairs are all included so you can hit the ground running. We’ll even provide training.

A loyal customer base.

With thousands of social media followers and enthusiastic regulars, Greater Goods is the Whittier neighborhood’s go-to destination for cards and gifts.

Endless possibilities.

There are all kinds of ways to make the space your own. In addition to the storefront, you could host workshops, set up an art studio, store your inventory — use your imagination!
